Fertility treatment costs can be high when advanced technologies (IVF) are required to create a pregnancy. Most patients will conceive using less expensive procedures such as medications and intrauterine insemination (IUI). Our fertility specialists always offer the treatment most likely to result in therapy while considering all factors including infertility treatment cost.
Other ART procedures such as donor egg IVF, ICSI, assisted hatching or preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) may be required, which escalates the overall infertility treatment cost. However, using one or more of these procedures may increase the per cycle success rates decreasing the possibly for repeat IVF cycles and increased fertility treatment costs.
The cost of IVF includes medications which are expensive and used at individualized dosages. Some women require more FSH for an optimal stimulation than others, thus increasing infertility treatment costs. Sometimes it is possible to freeze (cryopreserve) extra embryos from an IVF cycle for use in future cycles. No ovarian stimulation drugs are required for the frozen cycle greatly reducing IVF treatment costs.
Sometimes it is necessary to undergo more than one IVF cycle to achieve pregnancy. Many of our patients qualify for "The Attain™ IVF Program".
